How much does an Estonian company (OÜ) cost for Amazon sellers?

Running an Estonian OÜ for Amazon has four kinds of cost: set-up, yearly mandatory services, accounting and VAT, and payment tools. Exact amounts change over time and by provider, so this guide explains which items exist and how to ask about them instead of quoting one price.

Informational guide reviewed in October 2026. Check current fees with the official sources (Estonian company registry and e-Residency) before deciding.

Set-up costs

  • The state registration fee charged by the Estonian commercial register.
  • Fees for whoever prepares the incorporation, articles and digital signature, if you do not do it yourself.
  • If you are an e-Resident, the e-Residency card fee and its pick-up at an authorised point.

Yearly recurring costs

  • A legal address in Estonia and, depending on the board, a contact person. This is the service that varies most between providers.
  • Filing the annual report and periodic returns.
  • Renewing the card or digital signature tools when needed.

Accounting and VAT: where the real difference is

An OÜ selling on Amazon is not accounted for like a company without inventory. There is stock in several countries, Amazon statements, fees and returns. If you store with FBA in other countries you may need VAT registrations there, and that cost depends on how many countries you use. See EU VAT returns for ecommerce and the Pan-EU VAT countries guide.

Bank and payouts

Amazon pays into an account in the company name. Banks and payment institutions have different fees and their own verification rules. Ask about currency conversion fees, which can weigh more than the fixed fee.

What to ask before you hire anyone

  • What the yearly fee includes and what is billed separately.
  • How many VAT returns, and in which countries, are covered.
  • Who signs, and who answers if Amazon asks for documents.
  • What happens to the bookkeeping if you change country of residence.

The cost that is not on the invoice

An OÜ run from Spain by a Spanish tax resident can create obligations and risks in Spain. Before you decide, read e-Residency vs Spanish autónomo and what 0% on reinvested profits really means. For a quote based on your case, talk to Data Biz.
